Comedy is a distinctive art form, and Beyond the Canvas Art Studio fully embraces this idea. Join us on Saturday, April 11, for a delightful evening filled with laughter and relaxation at our Laugh and Sip event.
Event Details
- Immerse yourself in an evening of joy while enjoying your favorite beverage, which you are welcome to bring. This is what makes Sip in Laugh and Sip so special!
- Say goodbye to the typical two-drink minimum found at bars and clubs; every group will receive a special bag for their beverages. Bring whatever fits!
- All rules and policies will be communicated to those who RSVP, as we strive to maintain a fun yet responsible atmosphere.
Important Note: This event is exclusively for guests aged 21 and older.
- IDs will be checked at the entrance. If you or your guests are under 21, entry will be denied, and regrettably, no refunds will be provided. No exceptions.

There is no two-drink minimum, and if you choose not to drink, that's absolutely fine! Just remember, whatever fits in your special bag that we provide for you is what you can bring along. We want everyone to enjoy themselves while being responsible.

Atlas Novack is an LA native who's been doing stand-up comedy since before he could vote. Since then he's voted but also won the 2021 Eargasm Comedy Contest, and has been on the Burbank Comedy Festival, and Laugh Riot Grrl festival.

Matt Duckett is a comedian and writer who uses his biracial background to fuel his humor and perspective on the world. His stand up covers everything from his upbringing in a "post-racial" society to an ill-advised law school stint, for which he is still in debt. Matt's videos have garnered over 1.6 million likes on TikTok, where he has over 45K followers. Matt performs at prestigious clubs such as the Hollywood Improv, and has opened for the likes of Todd Glass and Morgan Jay. He is a member of the viral sketch team Little French Boy, who recently finished a two year run of sold out shows at The Pack Theater. Matt can also be seen at festivals across the country, most notably SF Sketchfest and The Bergamot Comedy Festival. His debut comedy album, "Successful Black Business Man", will be released in the Summer of 2026 via A Special Thing Records.

Her book “Tangerine Vagina: True Stories of Childhood Misfortune and Meaningless Sex” has been banned on Amazon - but not before it topped out at #69 on Amazon’s Humorous Erotica Bestseller’s list. Her comedy special was nominated for Best Performance & Best Production on BroadwayWorldLA and won Best of Fest at Whitefire Solofest. It will be released in the summer of 2026.

When was the last time you attended a tea party? We invite you to join us on Sunday, April 19, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM for a lovely day at the park! We'll be hosting our charming Painting Tea Party at Garfield Park in South Pasadena. If you haven't visited, you'll find it's a beautiful setting.
Prepare to enjoy some hot or iced tea, savor delectable treats, and paint stunning flowers. A painting tea party wouldn't be complete without the art of creating beautiful blossoms!
Event Details
- Our Painting Tea party will be held at Garfield Park in South Pasadena.
- Who Can Attend: This event is open to both adults and children aged 5 and up.
- Setting: We will have tables arranged for each group, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
- Experience: Our goal is to provide a memorable day filled with relaxation and fun.

- A variety of teas, both hot and cold, along with other refreshing beverages.
