What is there to say; when you love something you do, why not share it with others. This studio is for EVERYONE!
Life is a giant canvas; everything in the universe is potentially an element of creating art.
I can talk your ear off about art, but why? I would rather give you the experience, so you can discover your own why.
I am firm believer, "show me" not "tell me". Come see for yourself.
When you walk into the building there is a sign that says,
" When you enter this building, find your Greatness."
When you leave the building. There is another sign that says,
"When you leave this building, share your Greatness."
The discipline principal I hold strong is posted in the front of the room. It says,
"Something to Remember
There is no wrong way to do art.
Just a wrong way to following directions."
Where do I begin, and not bore your ear off? I'll keep it simple. I was born in Vietnam and was adopted to a white Jewish family, Oy Vey! I consider myself a believer in the people around me and the decisions I make.
My son is the love of my life and my motivation to succeed. Well, that, and I once thought when I was younger I would be a big time Rock and Roller. I was wrong. I think I'll stick with my son.
I am a Special Education teacher for LAUSD, going on 10 years. I teach by day, and a super hero by late afternoon, night, well an art guy by late afternoon, night. And weekends, too.
I've always loved art, and was really good at what I envisioned. I did and do a lot of art in my classrooms. I came to realize, not only am I good at it, I am also very good at teaching it. I think what makes me a good art teacher is I am able to bring out the inner artist to those who I teach. I help bring out the greatness within themselves, which allows them to have confidence to create what they envision. To me, that is an art form in itself. That is why I opened up this art studio. Hopefully you will experience that when you join a class or session.
Enough about me. We can talk more about me and art when we meet. You are not here to read, and read, and read some more. You are here to discover your inner artist. I'll see you when I do.
