Aug 16 (adults) and Aug 17 (Kids) Class: Picasso Cubism

This is NOT a Paint and Sip, just a class.

Shapes are all around us. No matter where you go, they are everywhere. In the world of Pablo Picasso, he took those simple geometric shapes, and he changed the "single" viewpoint by interlocking these geometric shapes and planes. With this style of art, the avant-garde art movement begun. This movement not only influenced the visual art world, it also influenced the other mediums of art; music, dance, literature, and theater.

Come join us on Aug 16, for adults, and Aug 17, for kids, as we create our own Picasso's Cubism cardboard self-portrait. You will create a 2D picture of yourself (self-portrait) and then give it dimension using cardboard. You will see your 2D explode off your canvas with the new medium that you will use.

No art experience necessary, well may just one, how to hold a brush. You will be guided from start to finish. You will be impressed with your final piece.

Here is the Schedule:

Aug 16, Saturday:  Adult class - 6:pm-8:pm

Aug 17, Sunday: Kids/ class - 3pm-5pm

Emboss: carve, mold, or stamp a design on (a surface or object) so that it stands out in relief. 

 
Come join me as I guide you through the AMAZINGNESS of how we can take a 2D picture and develop it into a modern piece of art with flare, character, dimension, and most of all delving into multiple art mediums while working with a new element, embossing.

 
You do not need any art experience for this. Well maybe one, an imagination. I think you have that covered.
